Combine duplicate speaker profiles
Merge duplicate speaker profiles to keep your database clean.
Finding Duplicates
Duplicates can occur when:
- Same person appears in different podcasts
- AI creates multiple profiles for one person
- Manual entry creates variations
Merging Speakers
To merge duplicate speakers:
- Go to Settings → Speakers
- Click the Merge Speakers button at the top
- Select the primary speaker (the one to keep)
- Select the secondary speaker (the one to merge in)
- Click Merge Speakers to confirm
What Happens When Merging
When you merge speakers:
- All segments transfer to the primary speaker
- The duplicate speaker is deleted
- Statistics combine for the primary speaker
- Voice data is preserved
Best Practices
- Keep the speaker with the most data as primary
- Review before merging to confirm they're the same person
- Merge regularly to maintain a clean database
