At PodRewind, we want you to be completely satisfied with our service. This policy outlines when and how refunds are provided for our subscription plans and services.

Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a satisfaction guarantee for new subscribers:

Monthly Subscriptions

14-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied with PodRewind within the first 14 days of your initial subscription, contact us for a full refund, no questions asked.

Annual Subscriptions

30-day money-back guarantee. Annual subscribers have 30 days from the start of their subscription to request a refund if the service doesn't meet their needs. If you've processed historical episodes under our free processing promotion (500 hours included with annual plans), we deduct $0.50 per hour processed from your refund to cover transcription costs.

Refund Eligibility

To be eligible for a refund under our money-back guarantee:

  • This must be your first paid subscription to PodRewind
  • Your request must be within 14 days (monthly) or 30 days (annual) of your initial payment
  • Your account must be in good standing (not suspended for Terms of Service violations)

Refunds are processed to the original payment method and typically appear within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

What's Not Refundable

Ingestion Fees

One-time ingestion fees for processing your historical podcast archive are non-refundable once processing has begun. These fees cover third-party transcription costs that we incur immediately upon processing. If processing fails due to a technical issue on our end, we will either re-process your content at no additional charge or provide a refund for the affected episodes.

Historical Processing on Annual Plans

Annual plans include up to 500 hours of free historical episode processing. If you request a refund after using this promotion, we deduct $0.50 per hour of historical content processed from your refund amount. This covers the third-party transcription costs we incur when processing your archive. For example, if you've processed 200 hours of historical content, your refund would be reduced by $100.

Subscription Renewals

Renewal payments (after your first billing period) are not eligible for the money-back guarantee. However, you can cancel at any time to prevent future charges. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period.

Partial Months

We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial months of service. When you cancel, you retain access through the end of your current billing period.

Referral Credits

Referral credits have no cash value and cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash. If you received a discount through a referral, only the amount you actually paid is eligible for refund.

Service Issues & Credits

If you experience significant service issues, we want to make it right:

  • Service outages: Extended outages (more than 24 hours) may qualify for pro-rated account credits
  • Processing failures: If episodes fail to process correctly, we'll re-process them at no charge
  • Billing errors: Duplicate charges or billing mistakes will be refunded in full immediately

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email us at help@podrewind.com with:

  • The email address associated with your account
  • The reason for your refund request (optional but helpful)
  • Your preferred resolution (refund or account credit, if applicable)

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 2 business days.

Chargebacks & Disputes

We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company. Chargebacks incur significant fees and administrative burden. If you contact us first, we can often resolve issues faster and avoid these complications. Accounts with pending chargebacks may be suspended until the dispute is resolved.

Free Tier

Our free tier (10 episodes per RSS feed) requires no payment and is available indefinitely. We encourage you to try PodRewind on the free tier before upgrading to ensure it meets your needs. Your free episodes remain accessible even after upgrading and later cancelling.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this refund policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Changes to the policy will not affect refund requests already in progress.
