Managing Speaker Names
Rename and organize speaker identities
After AI identifies speakers in your transcripts, you can rename them to their actual names.
How Speakers Are Identified
During transcription, PodRewind automatically:
- Detects distinct voices in the audio
- Labels them as Speaker A, Speaker B, etc.
- Creates speaker profiles in your database
Renaming Speakers
To give speakers their real names:
- Go to Settings → Speakers tab
- Find the speaker you want to rename
- Click the edit icon next to their name
- Enter their actual name
- Press Enter or click the checkmark to save
The new name appears immediately across all transcripts where that speaker appears.
Managing Multiple Podcasts
Speakers are managed per podcast feed. If the same person appears on multiple podcasts in your account, they may have separate speaker profiles for each feed.
