Using Chat
How to interact with the assistant
Learn how to effectively use Chat to get the most from your podcast archive.
Chat Interface
The chat interface includes:
- Message area - Your conversation with the assistant
- Input field - Type your questions or commands
- History sidebar - Access previous conversations
- New chat button - Start a fresh conversation
How to Ask Questions
The assistant understands natural language. Be specific about what you want:
Good examples:
- "Find segments where they discuss marketing strategies"
- "Show me quotes from the episode titled 'Growth Hacks'"
- "What did John say about pricing in the last 3 episodes?"
Less effective:
- "Find stuff" (too vague)
- "marketing" (needs context)
Deep Links
When the assistant finds content, it provides clickable links that take you directly to:
- Specific moments in episodes (with timestamp)
- Episode detail pages
- Tag management pages
Regenerating Responses
If you're not satisfied with a response, click the regenerate button to get a new answer using the same question.
Stopping Responses
For long responses, click the stop button to halt generation and ask a follow-up question.
Tips for Better Results
- Be specific - Include episode names, speaker names, or date ranges
- One task at a time - Complex requests work better as separate questions
- Use context - Reference previous answers ("In that episode...")
- Ask for confirmation - Before bulk operations, the assistant will preview changes
